The company was created in 2008 through the merger of Banque Populaire Group and Caisses d’Epargne, two complementary cooperative banking networks with 15 Banque Populaire banks (including Casden Banque Populaire and Crédit Coopératif) and 16 Caisses d’Epargne regional banks.
