BancoSol's history dates back to 1986 when it began working as a foundation. On February 10, 1992, it became the first regulated microfinance bank in Bolivia and in the world with the mission of generating opportunities for micro and small microentrepreneurs. His great merit was opening the doors of the financial system to sectors that were marginalized from formal financing, through financial engineering that to date is a worldwide benchmark.
